  Bits and Pieces #4
Tuesday, July 28, 2015 @ 10:58 PM

The past few days had been a torture. I was down with sore throat (again T__T); except that this time it was worse. It's sad to admit that I get sore throat pretty frequently, but it never reached to the extent of losing my voice. I could hardly speak properly for the past few days and that sucks!!

Losing my voice sure feels terrible; especially when I want to speak. I rather keep quiet because it hurts to throw out my voice.

I've tried various forms of medication to overcome this; from pills to lozenges to syrups to herbal teas. Even tried natural remedies such as honey and lemon!!! Sadly, nothing seems to be working now. I think I drank too much herbal tea until my sore throat is turning into cough now. T__T

I am slowly regaining my voice back, but it still sounds hoarse. A lot of people kept saying that I sound sexy with this voice, hence I should remain speaking this way. Even my mom said she preferred my current voice lol I am speechless.

Of all times I had to lose my voice, it had to be on the week which is most packed with activities. I started to lose my voice partially on Saturday- the day where I was supposed to meet up with all my old friends. I have not met half of them for a couple of months now, and when I did, most of them could not stop laughing at my croaky voice. Brandon kept saying that I sounded like an uncle!!

Johnathan, one of my long lost primary school mate, wanted to record my voice and use it as his alarm ringtone ugh!! Not sure whether to take it as a compliment or insult.

Anyway, that night, we gathered at Wee's place to meet up for the last time before Wee flies off to the States for good. The thought of having another one of us leaving makes me feel sad. I wish that I never have to part ways with some people; but I know that is not possible. (why am I getting so sentimental of all sudden???)

The process of getting ready for this picture was intense. Apparently, there wasn't anyone who could take the photo for us, so Wee had to get a ladder to use it as a tripod stand. Once the ladder was strategically placed, the girls had to balance the phone on the ladder to ensure that it wouldn't fall off. (we were using Angie's phone btw; think she had a mini heart attack then hahaha).

It was a fun filled night. We caught up on random things, played "Heads Up", and took a stroll around the park. It didn't take long to break the ice, and I would say we reconnected pretty quickly. I like how it feels as if nothing has changed; as if we were still back in high school.

Essential baes picture (excluding Mei Thoong cause she wasn't in town)

I know how this post isn't a very interesting post to start with after a long hiatus hahaha but I'll try to update this space more since I am on my semester break now! Praying that I will be fully recovered asap because I will be away for a camp this weekend and I'll be participating in a competition soon.

Till then.
