And... the most inconsistent blogger strikes again! HEHEHE #noshame
Since today marks the end of my mid-semester break, I thought I'd keep track of the few things that took place for the past few days.
On Friday (30/05), a few of my classmates and I decided to go on a road trip to Klang to satisfy our bak kut teh cravings! There were about 11 of us; me, E-lynn, Sze Yie, Tricia, Ling Huey, Lois, Wilson, Bryan, Shen, Sean and Norman (a friend of Bryan's), who came for the feast. The restaurant we went to was called Qi Xiang and due to Bryan's punctuality, we reached an hour later than we originally planned. -_- I'm not sure if that was the best bak kut teh in town because by the time we entered the restaurant, my tummy was already calling out for food; so it tasted very good. However, judging by the rest of the bkt experts' comments, the bak kut teh from this restaurant wasn't the most mouth-watering for the price we paid. As for my case, as long my tummy is happy, I am happy.
On the way to Klang with the lovebirds; Lois and Wilson! Allow me to clarify that I wasn't the only lightbulb, there were 2 more in the car.
Bak kut teh! Not sure what we ordered exactly because we placed our trusts in the hands of the bkt experts to make the decision. ps; the intestine dish tasted really good btw.
Later that day, we headed to One Utama to catch the movie, Maleficent. Coming from Puchong, I haven't been to One Utama for a really really long time. I can even count the number of times I've been there this year using one hand lol no joke. In fact, I always seem to get lost whenever I am in the mall HAHA okay I shall stop here before I make myself sound like some ulu person that lives under a cave.
We had plenty of time before the movie starts (which doesn't feel as plenty as it seemed because it passed so quickly), so we entered Victoria Secret and TRIED ALL THE PERFUMES OF COURSE HEHEHE. #definitelynoshame I've always heard how the Bombshell perfume appears to be the best seller but I never knew how great it smells 'till that day. I still have the sample of the perfume sitting in my bag and gosh, it does smell good. Birthday present next year please hint hint.
By the time we were done, I smelled like a bottle of perfume myself thanks to Bryan whom happily tried the perfumes on my hands. -__-
As for the movie, Maleficent was below average. As excited as I was to watch the movie because there was Angelina Jolie in it, I walked out of the cinema with great disappointment. The movie was fairy-taleish, the plot was very predictable and the graphics were meh. I think this would be a good movie for kids but not for mature ladies like me ahem ahem. Out of the six of us who watched the movie, only Wilson seemed to enjoy the movie. He even clapped out loud once the credits were up LOL funny guy.
Two days before, I met up with Woo at our usual hangout spot; Sunway Pyramid. I am starting to feel really bored of Pyramid even though I don't go there as often as Woo; I cannot imagine being in her shoes man! Woo if you're reading this, we NEED to find a new hangout spot HAHAHA. That is of course with the exception that one of us can drive sigh T__T Speaking of driving, I passed my QTI test this week! For those lucky people who did not have to go through QTI because their driving school didn't require them to, it is a driving test that you have to pass in order to save yourself a spot for the JPJ test. Basically, it is a qualifying test. And as unimportant as it sounds, I still felt very happy once I passed the test judging by my driving skills. I may have the brains for studies, but when it comes to driving..... just no. So after reading this, WHO DARES TO SIT IN MY CAR ONCE I GET MY LICENSE? HAHAHA. Back to the topic. Woo and I were being very serious about eating healthy that day due to our daily unhealthy diet, so I suggested that we try the food at Beyond Veggie by Secret Recipe since the name itself suggests that it serves healthy food lol. We shared a bowl of salad, a plate of calzone pizza and a glass of detox juice. The pizza was sort of a cheat since it contains cheese but the fillings were all vegetables, so urm... just give us the benefit of doubt already.
Our healthy lunch! #eatclean #nocheatmeal #butgotcheatalittle
And this has become one of my favorite boutiques now!
Factorie is a boutique that is newly opened in Pyramid and the clothes are my cup of tea. Not sure why does this shop remind me so much of Cotton On; maybe it's because of its concept and their pricing are similar to Cotton On's. Woo got herself a baseball tee which the one I wanted to get but it didn't come in my size SIGH. Was debating whether to get a sweater or a denim vest, but my shopping instincts said the vest so.
Happy girl is happy hehe.
I thought the fitting room in Factorie was really creative and pretty but what I dislike about it most is the auto-lock door. The door locks itself every time you close the door from the outside which sucks. Each time I wanted to show Woo what I tried, I get locked outside of the fitting room with all my things inside. To be exact, I got locked twice and the salesgirl had to keep unlocking the door for me T__T
Creative fitting room, but not practical.
Gotta give credits for this cute packaging!
Last Saturday (24/05) (not sure why am I arranging my posts backwards), Wee organized a house warming party and he invited the gang to come over. Before heading over to his house, we left earlier to Setia City Mall. I've always wanted to visit the mall since it was first opened but I have never gotten the chance due to its distance (sigh Puchong, why are you so far away from all the hot spots). The mall is a fairly good place to hang out and to shop. What I like most about the mall was the Eco Park right outside the mall. So we were on the quest of searching for a place to take the perfect ootd shot for Suet Ling when we discovered this park in the midst of it all HAHA. The park was so beautiful; not only because of the scenery but also the outdoor activities that were carried out. People were flying kites and playing with bubbles! We rented a wand and liquid soap for ourselves, and boy, we did have so much fun playing with the bubbles. We may be eighteen, but we are still young at heart.
Trying to take picture with the bubbles in the background but I kinda failed LOL.
And may I present to you, Suet Ling's ootd shot ft. Han Yang's priceless expression HAHA.
Forgive our unglamorous faces.
Good lighting calls for a selfie.
And more!
Captured this Tumblr-ish shot of Woo. Is this Tumblr worthy enough for you???
Headed to MPH and Suet Ling found the book that was written for her.
Those who showed up that night. 'Twas was fun indeed.
The scenery outside Wee's place. Thought it was really pretty.
Before I end this post,
